For the academic year 2024–2025, the College of Arts, Celtic Studies, and Social Sciences (CACSSS) is pleased to present the CACSSS PhD Excellence Scholarships. This esteemed scholarship program at University College Cork (UCC) seeks to assist outstanding PhD/MPhil/PhD Track students in a range of subjects within the CACSSS.

The College of Arts, Celtic Studies, and Social Sciences offers ten scholarships to assist academically exceptional individuals pursuing doctoral studies. PhD Excellence Scholarships at University College Cork Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
    • Prospective students who have already applied for a PhD/MPhil in CACSSS and intend to commence their studies in the academic year 2024/2025
    • Students who are currently registered in either first, second or third year of a PhD/MPhil/PhD Track in CACSSS.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must: * Have already applied for a postgraduate program at University College Cork (UCC). * Submit your scholarship application after the program application opens on March 19, 2024, and before it closes on May 1, 2024, for the academic year 2024/25. Benefits

The University College Cork will pay the successful applicants’ PhD tuition in the European Union. The scholarship will be given for a year at first, with the Graduate Studies Committee having the option to extend it for a maximum of three years if specific requirements are met.
